Written by Sherry Smith, Performed by Cindy O'Neill, Directed by Edmund MacLean. Based on the book by Elizabeth Goudie.
Elizabeth Goudie’s memoir Woman of Labrador became an instant classic for its honest depiction of Labrador pioneer women in the 1900s. The wife of a trapper and a mother of three, Goudie endured unspeakable hardships but always kept her spirits high.
This one woman show brings Goudie to life onstage and dramatizes her experience surviving in The Big Land. Travel back in time and experience the life of a trapper’s wife in the early 1900s.
Cindy O’Neill has performed this show to hundreds of audiences since the 1990s and is bringing it back to TNL this summer for a limited run.
